This is discussed here.
This needs to be reworded. There are no more restrictions involved in this than prior versions. It's just that we had some people that were passing around entire scripts saying they were hacks when in fact it was just a big chunk of the entire program

Might be worth waiting for 7.1 as that's already in beta 3.

I've been on the bubble about this.
What I've been contemplating is letting this place remain as a source for the 6.5 and earlier versions, and let ubbdev be the home for those using UBB7.
My efforts are pretty focussed at FusionBB, and taking care of my existing clients. I just didn't want to see all this info here die or go away when infopop was changing their product.
So for that reason, I'm thinking this site will hold at 6.5.5.

With the great job you have always done helping people out with hacks and advice, as well as offering "for hire" services it would be a great loss to see all that go.
I for one am still keen to move to Vertexhost for instance, and I'm sure a lot of people running Threads would consider a move to a hosting company that is run by someone who is a top threads expert.
Attracting the v7 folks here would definitely boost the potential.
